Roman Catholic Diocese of Kabankalan

The Diocese of Kabankalan (Latin: Dioecesis Cabancalensis ) is a community on the island of Negros in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Kabankalan City. It includes the southern part of the province of Negros Occidental.

History

Pope John Paul II founded the bishopric with the Apostolic Constitution Certiores quidem facti on 25 March 1987. It grew out of territory of the Diocese of Bacolod and the Archdiocese of Jaro was assumed as suffragan.
