Roman Catholic Diocese of Lwena
The diocese Lwena (Latin: Dioecesis Lvenanus ) is a location in Angola Roman Catholic diocese based in Luena. It comprises part of the province of Moxico.
History
Pope Paul VI. founded the bishopric of Luso with the Apostolic Constitution Venerable Frater on July 1 in 1963 of territory of the Diocese of Silva Porto. It was the Archdiocese of Luanda assumed as suffragan.
On February 3, 1977, was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Huambo. On May 16, 1979, adopted the current name.
