Roman Catholic Diocese of Maiduguri
The Diocese of Maiduguri (Latin: Dioecesis Maiduguriensis ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Maiduguri.
History
The Diocese of Maiduguri was posted on June 29, 1953 by Pope Pius XII. Apostolic Constitution Rem Nos facere out of territory of the Apostolic Prefecture of Jos established as Apostolic Prefecture of Maiduguri. On 7 June 1966, the Apostolic Prefecture of Maiduguri was by Pope Paul VI. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Id semper to the diocese.
The Diocese of Maiduguri is the Archdiocese of Jos is a suffragan.
