Roman Catholic Diocese of Marbel
The Diocese of Marbel (Latin: Dioecesis Marbelianus ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Koronadal City.
History
The Diocese of Marbel was posted on December 17, 1960 by Pope John XXIII. with the Apostolic Constitution Quod praelaturae of annexations of Territorialprälatur Cotabato built as Territorialprälatur Marbel. The Territorialprälatur Marbel was the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro assumed as suffragan. On June 29, 1970, the Territorialprälatur Marbel was the Archdiocese of Davao assumed as suffragan. The Territorialprälatur Marbel was placed under the Archdiocese of Cotabato as Suffragan on 5 November 1979.
The Territorialprälatur Marbel was collected on 15 November 1982, Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Decessores to the diocese.
The Diocese of Marbel covers the provinces of South Cotabato, Sarangani and parts of the province of Sultan Kudarat.
