Roman Catholic Diocese of Mbujimayi
The diocese Mbujimayi (Latin: Dioecesis Mbugimayensis ) is a location in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Roman Catholic diocese based in Mbuji -Mayi.
History
The diocese Mbujimayi was built in 1963 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese Luluabourg as Apostolic Administration Mbuji- Mayi. On May 3, 1966, the Apostolic Administration Mbuji- Mayi was by Pope Paul VI. raised to the bishopric.
The diocese is the Archdiocese of Kananga Mbujimayi a suffragan.
