Roman Catholic Diocese of Minas

The Diocese of Minas (Latin: Dioecesis Fodinensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese in Uruguay.

History

The present Diocese of Minas emerged from the territory of the Diocese of Melo. The diocese founding took place on 25 June 1960. On January 10, 1966 showed the present diocese Maldonado -Punta del Este from part of the territory of the diocese of Minas. According to statistical data live in the diocese of Minas about 50,000 Roman Catholics.
