Roman Catholic Diocese of Miracema do Tocantins

The diocese Miracema do Tocantins (Latin: Dioecesis Miracemanus Tocantinensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Miracema do Tocantins Tocantins in the state.

History

The diocese Miracema do Tocantins was on October 11, 1966 by Pope Paul VI. with the Papal Bull De animorum utilitate out of territory of the diocese of Porto Nacional as Territorialprälatur Miracema do Norte built. The Territorialprälatur was the Archdiocese of Goiânia assumed as suffragan.

On August 4, 1981, the Territorialprälatur Miracema do Norte was raised to the bishopric. The diocese Miracema do Norte was renamed on October 4, 1989 in the diocese of Miracema do Tocantins. On 27 March 1996 the diocese Miracema do Tocantins were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Archdiocese of Palmas. The diocese Miracema do Tocantins is the Archdiocese of Palmas is a suffragan.
