Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogoja
The diocese Ogoja (Latin: Dioecesis Ogogiaensis ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Ogoja.
History
The diocese Ogoja was on 13 March 1938 by Pope Pius XI. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Prefecture of Calabar built as Apostolic Prefecture Ogoja. On January 1, 1955, the Apostolic Prefecture was Ogoja by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolicum to the diocese. The diocese Ogoja announced on March 1, 1973 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Inter dead erected Diocese of Abakaliki.
The diocese is the Archdiocese of Calabar Ogoja a suffragan.
