Roman Catholic Diocese of Qinzhou
The Diocese of Tian Shui (Latin: Dioecesis Zinceuvensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Tianshui.
History
The diocese of Tianshui was established on April 28, 1905 by Pope Pius X. territorial concessions from the Apostolic Vicariate of Gansu as Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Gansu. The Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Gansu was renamed on March 8, 1922 in Apostolic Vicariate of Eastern Gansu. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of Eastern Gansu was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Tianshui.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Tian Shui was born on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Lanzhou is a suffragan.
