Roman Catholic Diocese of Quibdó

The Diocese of Quibdó (Latin: Dioecesis Quibduanus, Spanish: diócesis de Quibdó ) is a location in Columbia Roman Catholic diocese based in Quibdó.

History

The Diocese of Quibdó was posted on November 14, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. out of territory of the diocese Antioquía and the Apostolic Prefecture of Chocó built as Apostolic Vicariate Quibdó. On April 30, 1990, the Apostolic Vicariate of Quibdó was elevated by Pope John Paul II to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia is a suffragan.
