Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Joseph at Irkutsk

The Diocese of St. Joseph of Irkutsk (Latin: Sancti Dioecesis Ircutscanus Iosephi, Russian Епархия Святого Иосифа в Иркутске ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Russia, based in Irkutsk.

History

The diocese was founded on 18 May 1999 by Pope John Paul II as Apostolic Administration of Eastern Siberia (Siberia Orientale ) from areas of the Apostolic Administration Siberia and built on 11 February 2002 with the Apostolic Constitution meridional Russiae as Saint Joseph diocese of Irkutsk. It is the Archdiocese of Moscow assumed as suffragan.
