Roman Catholic Diocese of Sultanpet

The diocese Sultanpet (Latin: Dioecesis Sultanpetensis ) is a location in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Sultanpet.

History

The diocese was erected Sultanpet December 28, 2013 by Pope Francis of annexations of the dioceses Coimbatore and Calicut and the Archdiocese Verapoly a suffragan. First bishop was Peter Abir Antonisamy.

Located in Palakkad parish church of St. Sebastian was elevated to cathedral of the diocese Sultanpet.

It includes the Palakkad district in the state of Kerala.
