The Diocese of Takamatsu (Latin: Dioecesis Takamatsuensis, Japaneseカトリック 高松 教区, katorikku Takamatsu Kyoku ) is a location in Japan Roman Catholic diocese based in Takamatsu.

History

The Diocese of Takamatsu was established on January 27, 1904 by Pope Pius X made ​​cessions of territory of the Diocese of Osaka as Apostolic Prefecture of Shikoku. The Apostolic Prefecture of Shikoku was born on September 13, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. raised to the bishopric and renamed diocese Takamatsu. The Diocese of Takamatsu includes the island of Shikoku to the prefectures of Ehime, Kagawa, Kochi and Tokushima.
