Roman Catholic Diocese of Tarahumara
The Diocese of Tarahumara (Latin: Dioecesis Tarahumarensis, Spanish: diócesis de Tarahumara ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic diocese based in Guachochi.
History
The Diocese of Tarahumara was on May 6, in 1950, Pope Pius XII. out of territory of the Diocese of Chihuahua as a mission sui juris Tarahumara built. The mission sui juris Tarahumara was on 23 June 1958 under Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Si qua inter Apostolic Vicariate.
On 20 December 1993, the Apostolic Vicariate of Tarahumara eat was raised by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Chihuahua is a suffragan.
