Roman Catholic Diocese of Valledupar
The Diocese of Valledupar (Latin: Dioecesis Valleduparensis, Spanish: diócesis de Valledupar ) is a location in Columbia Roman Catholic diocese based in Valledupar.
History
The Diocese of Valledupar was born on December 4, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Guajira built as Apostolic Vicariate of Valledupar. On April 25, 1969, the Apostolic Vicariate of Valledupar was by Pope Paul VI. applicable to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Barranquilla is a suffragan. The Diocese of Valledupar announced on January 17, 2006 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of El Banco.
