Roman Catholic Diocese of Wiawso

The diocese Wiawso (Latin: Dioecesis Viavsensis ) is a location in Ghana Roman Catholic diocese based in Wiawso.

History

The diocese was erected Wiawso on 22 December 1999 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Ad efficacius of cessions of territory of the Diocese of Sekondi -Takoradi and the Archdiocese of Cape Coast is a suffragan. First bishop was Joseph Kweku Essien.
