Roman Catholic Diocese of Yanji

The Diocese of Yanji (Latin: Dioecesis Ienchivensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Yanji.

History

The Diocese of Yanji was born on July 19, 1928 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ex hac Divi out of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate of Wonsan as Apostolic Prefecture of Yanji. The Apostolic Prefecture Yanji was posted on April 13, 1937 by Pius XI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Yanji was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Shenyang is a suffragan.
