Roman Catholic Diocese of Yarmouth

The Diocese of Yarmouth (Latin: Dioecesis Yarmuthensis ) was located in Canada Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.

History

It was formed on July 6, 1953 the Archdiocese of Halifax, whose suffragan it was then. As of 2001, the diocese had no more own bishop, but was managed from 2002 by the Archbishop of Halifax as Apostolic Administrator. On 7 December 2011, the diocese was finally united with the Archdiocese of Halifax.
