Roman Catholic Diocese of Yuanling

The Diocese of Yuan Ling (Latin: Dioecesis Iuen - limensis ) is located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic Diocese based in Yuan Ling.

History

The Diocese of Yuan Ling was born on March 13, 1925 by Pope Pius XI. with the apostolic constitution Quae rei sacrae of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Changde built as Apostolic Prefecture shenchow. The Apostolic Prefecture shenchow was on May 28, 1934 Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Ad collected potiorem vicariatus Apostolic Vicariate. On December 10, 1934, the Apostolic Vicariate shenchow was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Yuan Ling.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Yuan Ling was born on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Changsha is a suffragan.
