Roman Catholic Diocese of Zé Doca
The Diocese of Zé Doca (Latin: Dioecesis Zedocanus ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Zé Doca in the state of Maranhão.
History
The Diocese of Zé Doca was posted on October 16, 1961 by Pope John XXIII. Quod Christ Jesus from the cessions of territory Territorialprälatur Pinheiro built with the Apostolic Constitution as Cândido Mendes Territorialprälatur. The Territorialprälatur Cândido Mendes was the Archdiocese of São Luís do Maranhão assumed as suffragan.
On 13 October 1983, Cândido Mendes Territorialprälatur was raised by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution in Brasilia Praelaturae to the diocese. The Diocese of Cândido Mendes was renamed on 5 July 1991 in the diocese of Zé Doca.
