Roman Catholic Diocese of Zhengding

The diocese of Zhengding (Latin: Dioecesis Cemtimensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Zhengding.

History

The diocese of Zhengding was posted on April 2, 1856 by Pope Pius IX. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate of Beijing built as Apostolic Vicariate of West Chi -Li. The Apostolic Vicariate of West Chi -Li announced on April 15, 1924, parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Lixian. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of West Chi -Li was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Zhengding. The Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengding was on May 25, 1929 from parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Zhaoxian. Another area assignment was in 1933 establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Zhaoxian.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Zhengding was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Beijing is a suffragan.
