Roman Catholicism in Brunei

The Roman Catholic Church in Brunei is a mission church that was built in the last decades and is organized in the Apostolic Vicariate of Brunei.

Dissolved on 21 November 1997 from the Diocese of Miri ( Malaysia) and elevated to an independent Apostolic Prefecture, it extended in 2002 for three parishes and 21,000 faithful, over 5,800 km ² and covers the whole country.

With 4.7% of the population, the Catholics are a minority there, which was accompanied by three pastoral diocesan and religious priests. In 2002, there were also two sisters in the prefecture.
