Roman Catholicism in the United Arab Emirates

The Roman Catholic Church in the United Arab Emirates is a minority.

The land belongs to the area of the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia, which has its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The Apostolic Vicariate is currently headed by Paul Hinder, OFM Cap. , Titular Bishop of Macon. The nuncio is Archbishop Paul El- Hachem Mounged, who is also responsible for Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen and Qatar. In the United Arab Emirates, probably more than 10 percent of the population are Roman Catholics with the majority of Catholics are foreigners. The majority of Christians in the country are Catholics.

The distribution of Christian literature is forbidden, although the constitution including freedom of religion.
