Ron Cyrus

Ronald Ray "Ron" Cyrus (* July 10, 1935 in Greenup County, Kentucky, † February 28, 2006 in Lexington, Kentucky ) was an American politician. He was a member from 1976 to 1996 as a Democrat to the House of Representatives from Kentucky.

Cyrus died in February 2006 from lung cancer. He was married and had two sons and three daughters. One of his sons is the country singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus. His daughter, Miley Cyrus is also an actress and singer.

The I miss you song on the double album released in 2007 Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus is dedicated to Ron Cyrus.
