Ron Evans

Ronald B. Evans (* July 7, 1939, † March 9, 2007 in Melbourne ), called Ron Evans, was an Australian Footballer and functionary.

Evans attended Caulfield Grammar School in Melbourne. For the Essendon Football Club from 1958 to 1962, he played 64 games and scored 210 Goals. The Coleman Medal, which gets the most successful annual goal kicker of the highest Australian Division (Victorian Football League), he received in 1959 and 1960. From 1963 to 1965 played Evens at West Perth Football Club, but he reached in 60 games 271 Goals. In 1988 he was 4 years the President of the Essendon Football Club. From 1998 to February 2007 he was president of the Australian Football League ( AFL).

Ron Evans had an education degree in BSc and MBA and was from 1992 to 2004 director of catering and cleaning firm Spotless.

2006 Evans was named " Member ( AM) of the Order of Australia" excellent.
