Ron Jessie

Ron Jessie ( born February 4, 1948 in Yuma, Arizona; † January 13, 2006 in Huntington Beach, California ) was an US- American football player.

Jessie, who already played at the University of Kansas football, his professional career began in 1971 with the Dallas Cowboys, however, changed in the same summer to the Detroit Lions, where he played four seasons. In 1975, Jessie to the Los Angeles Rams. His best year was 1976, when he was sent to 34 passes for 779 yards and six touchdowns for the Rams in the Pro Bowl, the All -Star game of the National Football League ( NFL), was appointed.

In 1979, he reached with his team the Super Bowl, but an injury prevented its use in the 31-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Two more years Jessie played for the Buffalo Bills, 1981 ended his career after 265 receptions for 4,276 yards and 30 touchdowns. Overall, he played eleven seasons in the NFL. Jessie died of a heart attack, leaving behind his wife Sharon, daughter Felicia and two sons, Brendan and Ron Jr.
