Ronnie Baker Brooks

Ronnie Baker Brooks ( * as Rodney Dione Baker January 23, 1967 in Chicago) is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter from Chicago (Chicago Blues, Soul Blues ).

Brooks has played with nine years of his father, the blues musician Lonnie Brooks of the page. He learned bass guitar and was in 1986 in his father's band (eg, Live from Chicago: Bayou Lightning Strikes, Alligator Records, 1988). He played with Koko Taylor, Elvin Bishop and Lil ' Ed Williams. From 1998, he performed solo. In the same year he released his solo album Gold Digger at Watchdog Records. This was followed by Take Me Witcha (2001) and The Torch (2006 ), all with the watchdog.

He lives in Dolton (Illinois ).

In 2000 he was nominated for the Blues Music Awards for Best Newcomer.

Occasionally, it occurs with a family band with his father and brother, Wayne Baker Brooks.
