Ronny & the Daytonas
Ronny & The Daytonas were an American surf pop band that in 1964 in the occupation of Paul Jensen ( guitar), Don Henderson (guitar and bass), Lynn Williams ( drums), Lee Craft ( guitar) and John " Bucky " Wilkins (guitar) in Nashville, Tennessee, was formed. Biography
Wilkins, son of country singer-songwriter Marijohn Wilkin wrote, during a lesson at the Senior High School the song GTO His mother heard the song and organized for the son of a recording session with Bill Justis, a Nashville producer and former Sun Records session man. The single G.T.O. became a hit and reached number 4 in the U.S. charts.
After an album and a tour could " Ronny & The Daytonas " again to build on their successful debut with the 65 single Sandy. 1968 joined the band to "RCA Records" and even released two more singles, " Diane, Diane " and " All American Girl", but could not reach the old successes. After another tour, " Ronny & The Daytonas " parted.

In 1978, the single was released "Little GTO / Holocaust On Sunset Blvd. " ( D-Line ) by a group called " New York Blondes". The A-side is a cover of Ronny & The Daytonas old hits, sung by Deborah Harry ( Blondie ).
