The Roodeschool railway station is a railway station in the Dutch city Roodeschool in the province of Groningen. He is a railhead and the northernmost station of the Netherlands.
History
The train station is on the railway line Sauwerd - Roodeschool, which was opened in 1893 by the " Groninger Locaalspoorweg - Maatschappij ".
Station building
At the opening of the station there was a real station building. This was but demolished in 1973 and replaced by a simple cottage.
Currently, plans are to continue the railway line to Eemshaven, executed. Completion is expected in 2016.
