Rosa Guy
Rosa Cuthbert Guy ( born September 1, 1922 in Diego Martin, Trinidad; † 3 June 2012) was an American youth crime writer.
Life
Pink Guy lived since the age of seven in the United States. In 1932 she came with her family to Harlem, New York. Shortly after her parents Henry and Audrey Cuthbert died. That's why she and her sister lived in childhood and youth in many nursing homes. To support her family, she broke up with 14 out of school and began to work.
During the Second World War, she joined the American Negro Theatre. She studied acting and literature in the University of New York. Most of her books are about the reliability of family members who care for each other and love each other.
