Rosalind Howells, Baroness Howells of St Davids

Rosalind Patricia -Anne Howells, Baroness Howells of St Davids, OBE ( born January 10, 1931 in Grenada ) is a British Labour Party politician and member of the House of Lords.

Howells went to the St Joseph 's Convent, the South West London College and City College in Washington, DC. 1955 she married John Charles Howells, they have two daughters.

She was director of the Greenwich Racial Equality Council and the Community and Equal Opportunities Worker. Baroness Howells is a trustee of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.

She was raised as Baroness Howells of St Davids for Life Peeress 1999.

In March 2009, she was chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire in Luton.
