Rosamund John

Rosamund John (* October 19, 1913 in London as Nora Rosamund Jones, † October 27, 1998 ibid ) was a British film and theater actress.

Life and career

Rosamund John was born in 1913 in London's Tottenham district when Nora Rosamund Jones. She was educated at Tottenham Drapers ' College and then attended the Embassy School of Acting.

Her film debut was in 1934 in the adventure film The Secret of the Loch by director Milton Rosmer. Since 1942, she was a busy actress in many British films such as in Maurice Elveys romantic drama The Sacred Fire (1943 ) next to Stewart Granger, in the comedy thriller by Sidney Gilliat Warning: Green ( 1946), in Lawrence Huntington thriller abyss (1947 ) on the opposite James Mason, in Daniel Birts Kriminalkomödie your murder is supposed to have ( 1950), or in the film drama at the street corner by director Muriel box ( 1953).

Rosamund John was married twice. From 1943 to 1949 the editor Russell Lloyd and 1950-1987 with the politician John Silkin. From this union comes a son.

In October 1998, she died in London at the age of 85 years of natural causes.
