Rosário do Sul is a city with 41 715 inhabitants in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. It is located about 380 kilometers west of Porto Alegre. Adjacent are the places Alegrete, Cacequi, Dom Pedrito, Santana do Livramento, São Gabriel and Quaraí. Originally Rosário do Sul was part of the municipalities Alegrete and São Gabriel.
