Rosebud (Band)

Rosebud was an American folk-rock group with a tendency to country rock, in 1971 their only album of the same name brought out.

At Rosebud included Judy Henske (vocals), Jerry Yester (guitar, vocals), Craig Doerge (keyboards, vocals), John Seiter (drums, vocals) and David Vaught ( bass). Henske and Yester, then married, had previously psychedelic album Farewell Aldebaran published as a duo (1969 ), whose lyrics and music almost entirely derived from the two.

Rosebud on the other hand was a band on their music all members were involved. During Farewell Aldebaran had been quite experimental, the album Rosebud remained rather suitable for mass production. However, both albums were produced by Yester.

Shortly after the release of the album Henske and Yester which the group Rosebud parted, broke apart. Henske married Craig Doerge and retired for a long time from the stage. Yester continued to work as a producer, including Tom Waits, and occasionally performed as a musician. Doerge was a sought-after studio musician.

The piece Salvation was in France under the name Sauvez moi a hit for Johnny Halliday (1972).
