Roselore Sonntag

Roselore Sunday ( born February 6, 1934 in Geringswalde as Roselore Stöbe ) is a former German gymnast devices. She participated at the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960. Even as a turn trainer, she enjoyed great success.

Life

The then unmarried Roselore Stöbe 1952 first participated at the Saxon Championships in artistic gymnastics. Two years later, she made the first DDR far talked about. Starting yet for Lok Leipzig East, it was DDR Champion on the uneven bars. In 1956, she proved that this was not a fluke performance. Meanwhile, starting for the SC locomotive Leipzig, was Roselore Stöbe 3 times GDR champion in the all around, on the ground and on the uneven bars. Overall, from 1957 with the Leipzig Turner and later gymnastics coach Henry married Sunday to 1960 ten GDR Champion titles, including three secured in the all around.
