Rosette Nebula

The Rosette Nebula is a diffuse emission nebula with an open cluster in the constellation of Monoceros.

The nebula has a size of 80.0 ' x 60.0 ' and an apparent magnitude of 6.00 mag. Today the NGC objects called NGC 2237, NGC 2238, NGC 2239 and NGC 2246 different parts of the nebula. Historically, the four numbers called something other star clusters and nebulae in this area.

In the center of the nebula is the open cluster NGC 2244, which brings the fog glow. The cluster has an apparent magnitude of 4.80 mag and a diameter of 24.0 '.
