Rosie Napravnik

Anna Rose "Rosie" Napravnik ( born February 9, 1988 in Mendham Township, New Jersey) is an American jockey in flat racing. The daughter of a blacksmith and a riding instructor had her whole life contact with horses. In 2005 she was jockey and has been among the most profitable U.S. jockeys. She is the most successful rider racing in the United States.

Career

Rosie Napravnik 2006 won 300 races from 1465. The winnings were $ 6,395,075. Since 2010 Napravnik rides at Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, Louisiana. In an accident on the Delaware Park Racetrack in August 2008, she broke her leg and had to pause to November. In 2012 she reached the 8th place in the prize money rankings of the United States. 2013 she was captain of a Girl Team for the Shergar Cup at Ascot in Great Britain.

Kentucky Derby

Napravnik reached Mylute the 5th place at the Kentucky Derby of 2013, reaching the best placement of a rider in the history of the race. She was the sixth woman who has previously participated in the Kentucky Derby.

Belmont

2012 took Napravnik the first time at the Belmont Stakes and arrived with Five Sixteen fifth place. 2013, it rode the mare Unlimited budget on the 6th Place. In 2013 she rode the first woman to all three U.S. Triple Crown races in one year.

Preakness

Napravnik rode the Preakness Stakes for the first time in 2013, reaching Mylute third place. She was the third woman previously participated in the Preakness and the best -placed. After having participated in the 2011 Belmont Stakes on Kentucky Derby and 2012, she is the first woman who has participated in all three U.S. Triple Crown races.

Breeder's Cup

She won the 2012 Breeders' Cup Juvenile with Shanghai Bobby. So she was the second woman to a Breeders' Cup race won.
