Rot (Wurzacher Ach)

BW

Template: Infobox River / BILD_fehlt

The red is a right tributary of the Wurzacher Oh and 11.9 km long. It rises south of Bremberg, a little haven of community Kißlegg in Baden -Württemberg. Shortly after the source it forms the Red Pond. Its course always leads north. The Red flows under the Allgäu railway pass and takes it short to the drain of the Ellrazhofer pond. Northwest of Diepoldshofen, a district of the city Leutkirch, opens the stream in the Wurzacher Oh. The red is almost consistently straightened. It passes through on their way mostly farmland or meadows that extend to the river bank. An intact riparian vegetation consists solely in the river section upstream of the mouth and the Red Pond.

Places on the river:

  • Oberrotweil, Unterrot ( to Kißlegg )
  • Stegrot, Hünlishofen ( to Leutkirch im Allgäu)
