Rottefella

Rottefella (literally translated rat trap ) is a Norwegian manufacturer of ski bindings for cross-country skiing and Telemark. The company is located in Klokkarstua, the administrative headquarters of Hurum.

The original, as " rat trap " designated binding was developed in 1927 by Bror With. This system was over 50 years one of the most widely used country ski bindings. Later binding by the NNN system (New Nordic Norm ) was replaced in the field of cross country skiing. The produced for the telemark system of NTN is called (New Telemark Norm).

On the world market for country ski bindings is spread next to the NNN system only SNS ( Salomon Nordic System). These systems are not compatible and must match the type of shoes. Beginning with the collection of 2007/2008 Fischer Sports GmbH has changed from SNS system to NNN, which has increased its market share, especially in the European market.
