Route 92 (Iceland)

The Norðfjarðarvegur performs a part of the East Fjords of Iceland.

The road connects 92 Neskaupstaður through the tunnel Oddsskarðsgöng with Eskifjörður and continues on to Reyðarfjörður and Egilsstaðir. It is 72 km long and paved along its entire length. The tunnel is not always passable in winter, so a new, longer tunnel is planned, the Norðfjarðargöng.

The Norðfjarðarvegur until after Reyðarfjörður and continue the Suðurfjarðavegur offers a detour around the ring road on the Breiðdalsheiði where these are not yet paved and in the winter is not always passable.
