Rowan Joffé

Rowan Joffe (born 1973 ) is a British screenwriter and film director.

Life

Joffe joined as a screenwriter for the first time in 2000 in appearance, as he was involved in the script for The Last Resort, which he wrote with director Pawel Pawlikowski. The two were nominated for this production for the British Independent Film Award, she also received the award for Best New British Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. The following year, he was involved in a short film, and a television film titled Gas Attack. For the latter he received a nomination for the BAFTA TV Award, also in 2001 an award for Best New British Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

2007 Joffe was with the staging of the television film Secret Life his debut as a director. He also wrote the screenplay. In the same year he was involved as an author the horror film 28 Weeks Later. In 2008 followed with the drama The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall his second film as a director, for which he then 2009 BAFTA TV Award received.

2010 Joffe wrote the screenplay for the movie The American. As a basis it is the literary work of Martin Booth. Still in gleuchen year he shot with his third film Brighton Rock.
