Roxie Roker
Roxie Albertha Roker ( born August 28, 1929 in Miami, † December 2, 1995 in Los Angeles ) was an American actress. Their most successful role was that of Helen Willis on the sitcom The Jeffersons. She played this role of 1975 until 1985.
Life and career
Roker was born in Miami, but grew up in Brooklyn (New York City ) on. She is a cousin of Al Roker and attended Howard University, where she starred in a drama club. She began her career with the " Negro Ensemble Company".
In the years 1962-1985 she was married to Sy Kravitz, with whom she has a son, the musician Lenny Kravitz.
