Roy Glenn

Roy E. Glenn senior ( born June 3, 1914 in Pittsburg, Kansas, † March 12, 1971 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.

Life

The African- American Glenn began his career in radio and was seen in the 1930s in smaller roles in films extras. After a long period of inactivity, he took a supporting role in the 1950 film The Jackie Robinson Story. This was followed by several appearances in the Amos ' n Andy Show, which smoothed the way for other film and television roles.

In 1961, he was seen on the side of Sidney Poitier in A Raisin in the Sun. In 1967 he took his most famous role, again at Poitiers page, in the comedy-drama Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
