The Royal Arctic Line is a cruise line founded in 1993 in Greenland based in Nuuk.

It belongs to the government and employs 800 people. With their ships, it operates a container liner service between Nuuk and Aalborg in Denmark, also small supply ships with passenger facilities along the Greenland coast are operated to supply the villages.

New ships

Five new freighters and supply vessels with the highest ice class was added in 2011 at the P S shipyards in order, a ship of the type ACV 606 ( 606 TEU ), two Type ACV 108 (108 TEU ) and two of type ACV 36 (36 TEU ). The larger ships will each receive two cranes, the smaller a crane.

The ships are designed for ambient temperatures from -35 ° C to 36 ° C, they are to be delivered in 2012. Two of these ships were originally ordered at the shipyards in Wismar and Warnemünde with delivery in 2008.
