Koninklijke Roeivereniging Club Gent ( KRCG ) is a traditional rowing club in Ghent / Belgium.

History

The rowing club founded as Koninklijke Roeivereniging Club Gent ( KRCG ) in June 1871 is one of the oldest in Belgium. In addition to many victories in national and international regattas, the profit of the first Olympic silver medal in rowing in 1900, a high point in their history dar.

Achievements

  • Silver in the eight at the Olympic Games in 1900 and 1908
  • Silver in the one at the Olympic Games in 1912 Polydore Veirman
  • Four gold medals at the Henley Royal Regatta in the aft ( Grand Challenge Cup: 1906, 1908, 1909) and One (1994 )
  • Gold in eighth in the Thames Challenge Cup 2001
