The Royal Society Mountains (English Royal Society Range) is a majestic mountain range, which rises along the western coast of McMurdo Sound between the Koettlitz, Skelton and Ferrar Glacier at up to 4025 meters. The initial review probably happened in 1841 by James Clark Ross.

The highest point is Mount Lister with 4025 m. Other named peaks are Mount Rucker with 3816 m and Mount Hooker with 3800 m.

The mountain range was explored from 1901 until 1904 by the Discovery expedition under Robert Falcon Scott, who named it after the Royal Society and named many peaks according to their members. The Royal Society had the expedition financially and organizationally.
