Royon
Royon is a commune with 124 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Pas -de- Calais, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais.
Geography
Royon is located 16 km east of Montreuil on the road D130, in the valley of the river Créquoise.

History
The mountainsides were limited by thorny hedges. The fruit-bearing hedges were called ' Royons ' For the first time Royon was mentioned according to the Gallia Christiana 893. In 1641 it became ' Roion ' and 1804 for ' Royon '.
Attractions
The Louis XV chateau. was destroyed in May 1944, rebuilt and is now the seat of local government. In the village there still is the church of Saint- Germain of the 16th century.
