Royston Brady

Royston Mathew Brady ( born August 24, 1972) is an Irish businessman and former politician, and was from 1999 to 2004 the City Council of Dublin.

Biography

Royston Brady was set up in November 1998 as a Fianna Fáil candidate for the local elections in June 1999. After winning the election, he was the age of 26 the youngest member of the City Council of Dublin. From July 2000 to July 2001, he practiced under Mayor Maurice Ahern from the Office of the Vice - Mayor. From July 2003 to July 2004, he held the office of Lord Mayor himself eventually (Lord Mayor of Dublin). 2004 Brady candidate in the European elections in the constituency of Dublin; to the city council elections in 2004, he joined not more. Statements about the car bombing in Dublin in 1974 - Brady was at his father's taxi had been stolen by the perpetrators and used as a getaway car - but attended shortly before the European elections for vertebrae. Although the information later turned out to be true, they were perceived by the public as a campaign maneuver and thus led to Brady's election defeat. Brady now retired from politics. In 2006 he was a juror at Rose of Tralee.

Brady is married and has one child. His brother Cyprian Brady is also active as a politician ( Fianna Fáil ).
