Rørvik Church

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rørvik is a long church from 1896 in the municipality Vikna, in Fylke Nord-Trøndelag in Norway.

The church is built entirely of wood and has space for 200 visitors. The architects of the October 27, 1896 consecrated Johannes Skaar Church were Scheistrøen Ole and Arne Selvik.

The church was built at the instigation of the inhabitants Rørviks after the nearest church was over 20 miles away in Garstad. On May 1, 1940 bomb fell on a hill between the church and the Johan Berg's gate. The church was badly damaged thereby. However, the subsequent restoration was due to lack of money made ​​easier than the original.

The Rørviker church was completely destroyed in a fire on February 18, 2012. The local police, according to two children under the age of 13 have admitted to have set fire to the church, which led to the burning of the church.
