RSA Insurance Group (before the name change on 20 May 2008 Royal & Sun Alliance ) is a British insurance company. It is in the FTSE 100 listed and headquartered in London, United Kingdom.

The company was formed from a merger of Sun Alliance with the Royal in 1996. SunAlliance in turn is the result of a merger of insurance companies and Sun Alliance. The company Sun go down as one of the oldest British insurance companies back to the year 1710. RSA has locations in more than 100 countries worldwide. It is the second largest general insurance companies in the UK. In 1997, it became the first foreign insurance companies permission to operate in China. Until 2006 it was also represented on the NYSE.
